Lifetime Achievement award

Evelyn Faye Binge also known as Aunty Faye.

Aunty Faye was one of the founding caseworkers at the first ever Community Services Intensive Family Based Service in Casino - Malanee Bugilmah which opening in 1994.

Aunty Faye passed away in June this year, but her legacy lives on in our Department and in the many Aboriginal children and families she has helped throughout the years. Aunty Faye was integral in introducing what was a ground-breaking model of working with families. She was deeply committed to reducing the number of Aboriginal children in out-of-home care and promoted the model across the Department. Calm, compassionate and a straight-talker, Faye will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
